The Bachelorette… Party not the TV show

The Bachelorette… Party not the TV show

With wedding season on the horizon again for spring/summer of 2023… we got to thinking!

Before you can worry about your outfit for the wedding day and celebrating the happy couple (we have a blog about wedding guest attire too don’t worry!). First, we must celebrate the Hen in all her glory with a night alllllll about her!!

Bridal parties listen up! Here are our FAVOURITE hens party themes from the girls that have heard them all here at West Coast…

My personal favourite recently would have to be ‘The Last Rodeo’. Think diamonds, ruffles, tassels, sequins, mini dresses and cowgirl boots, fluffy cowboy hats and everything else in-between!

What do I wear? I’m glad you asked! For this theme I would recommend our AJE Simone Frill mini in white paired with white cowgirl boots and a sparkly hat for the beautiful bride to be! As for the guests? My top recommendations would have to be the Rat & Boa Malika Mini with brown boots and a matching hat as the dress has all the sparkles necessary, the Arcina Ori Valentina Mini in red with brown accessories and lastly, if you’re not into a mini dress and maybe you want to do shorts/skirt and a top, I would wear our Natalie Rolt Varga Bustier with denim bottoms and a sequin cowgirl hat!

Next is for the T-Swiz fanatics out there with… The Era’s tour (Bride’s Version)!

This is where all the hen’s party guests arrive dressed as a version of the bride!! Think the brides high school era, clubbing era, sports era, work era, etc. This is usually a funnier rather than fashionable bachelorette party theme and we love it nonetheless!

As we all know, fashion comes full circle. This means that some outfits that your beautiful bride wore back in her day just might be back in fashion today! We’re thinking The Bar Lou dress for school dinner dance bride, the Rat & Boa Impala set for vacation bride, the Bec & Bridge Janet knit for summer bride or something bright and colourful like our Natalie Rolt Josie mini for birthday bride!

Amalfi Coast has been THE most popular bachelorette party theme this past year and we can see why!

It’s classy, vibrant, effortless and who doesn’t want to pretend they’re having sunset cocktails on the Italian coast!? For this theme we think linen, flowy, colourful and timeless silhouettes. My top recommendations would be for the bride our Natalie Rolt Estelle set and for everyone else our Alemais the Label Soleil Sundress, Natalie Rolt Lilo set, SIR the Label Vivi asym cut out dress, the AJE wave ring cut out dress and if you’re after a mini I would opt for our AJE Gracious mini in the colour Saffron!!

Last but most definitely not least, we have ‘Vino Before Vows’! I personally love this one! Mainly because I love wine… but alsoooo the outfits are so damn cute!!!

When I think Vino Before Vows, I think of an outdoors long lunch type of vibe and maybe you’ve arranged a private wine tasting for you and your nearest and dearest x

If you came into the store with this as the theme, here is what I would recommend for you… Our Bec & Bridge Ellie maxi is the perfect linen blend for a day time event and the perfect colour for spring/summer (plus she has pockets!). I would also recommend the Acler Meredith mini, the Bec & Bridge Eugenie (also pockets!!), the Natelie Rolt Penelope and Maya set and the Poppy Mini in pink would be adorable xx

A massive congratulations to any Bride’s to be! We love love here at West Coast Dress Hire and love making each and every one of you feel beautiful for your special occasions even more!
